My Review of Velvet Smoke Baked Kiss
This is another gorgeous candle from Velvet Smoke. It is luscious and tropical, and there is nothing that makes me feel content, warm and cosy like the creamy smell of suntan lotion.
As soon as it’s lit, Baked Kiss quickly fills the room with a heady summer mix of coconut, sea salt and the idea of warm skin and a summer breeze. It’s fabulous.
It has a gorgeous creamy quality and a brilliant clash of salty and sweet which makes it really unique and addictive. It’s not too sweet and maintains a freshness that keeps it beautifully balanced with light and dark.
There’s a gorgeous smoky woodiness thanks to tobacco and soft sandalwood which gives it a wonderful comforting feel, perfect for wintry, festive evenings.
Like the first candle that Velvet Smoke launched, Filthy Rose (review here), a big thing I love about Baked Kiss is the glass vessel it comes in. It’s absolutely stunning and the colours are so pretty. I’m obsessed. Once you have used the candle, you will definitely want to keep the glass jar and could use it for a cocktail, to hold your makeup brushes, or just as a gorgeous ornament. Whatever takes your fancy.
I am really looking forward to what they launch next!
