The WONDERSKIN Wonder Blading Lip Stain is a really interesting product, and when I featured it on Instagram back in 2023, I got loads of questions about it. These lip products have grown in popularity since then, and they have lots more products and shades. Here’s what you need to know.
What is WONDERSKIN Wonder Blading Lip Stain Masque?
This is a really interesting lip product that’s all about creating a stain on the lips that will last all day:

How to use Wonderskin Wonder Blading Lip Stain
This lip product is pretty easy to use, although I get the best results if I prep my lips with a scrub.
You apply it as you would any lip colour, but be sure to carefully line the outermost part of your lip line so that you get a volumising effect.
It looks very dark at first, but this will be wiped away and a softer stain will be left.
Leave the masque on for as long as you like. Choose a short time for a soft stain, and leave it on longer for a more intense look. I think 60 seconds is enough for a deeper result.
You simply wipe the masque away with a damp cotton pad and the lip stain is ready.

I first shade I had when I first discovered the brand was Glamorous. Here is the swatch first applied:

I have since discovered three more shades, Lovely, Charming and Hush:
Having learnt from the last time I swatched these on my arm, I didn’t leave them on for too long. So these are faint tints of each of the shades:
My Review
I have to confess, I didn’t really expect to like this product, but I was very curious about it, so I was keen to give it a go.
I am pretty surprised to say that I actually really like it, and when I have had it on my lips in my other Instagram content, I have had loads of questions about what I am wearing. You can see it in the video below with the Wonderskin gloss* over the top.
One thing I think is really important to note, is that it is key to properly fill out the lip line as much as you can. If you don’t take the colour to the outermost part of your lips (or even very slightly overline them), you will accidentally end up with your lips looking thinner than they actually are.
The first time I tried it, I made this error and so ended up having to do another layer to push the colour further out on my lip line. The good thing is that you can layer this up, so if it takes a couple of attempts to get it right, so be it.
I love how you can tailor the intensity depending on how long you leave the mask on. I like it as a stain and also with the gloss on top. It’s a really versatile product.
I also think it would be great to use as a base under lipstick for some really long lasting and unique lip creations.
They have also added the 360 Contour Lip Liner to their range which I think really helps to perfect the look.
I am loving the Rosewood shade and the formula is super long lasting.
The WONDERSKIN Wonder Blading Lip Stain is the perfect product to opt for if you are going out to dinner because it is super long lasting and you can pretty much apply it and then forget it.
If you’re new to this, it could take a few goes to get it right, so make sure you are prepared to experiment with it.
