How to use it
Like most cleansing balms, this is really easy to use. You just massage a small amount on to dry skin and then add a splash of water to emulsify. You can simply rinse away, or use a damp wash cloth to remove for a touch more exfoliation.
Also, if applied on to clean skin, you can use this like a mask. Just leave the balm on for three to five minutes and then rinse away.
My Review

I love a cleansing balm. I think it’s probably my favourite way to cleanse, and seeing as I was already a fan of Glossier’s Milky Jelly, this was always going to be a hit for me.
When I first heard that Glossier was launching a cleansing balm, I imagined that it would come in a pot like the Elemis cleansing balms. However, this comes in a tube which I suppose makes it much easier to pack and travel with, and many will prefer this when it comes to hygiene.
And while I’m on the subject of the Elemis cleansing balm, I have just finished a tub of the Black Cherry edition and it was absolutely glorious. For more info on that, read: Elemis Pro-Collagen Black Cherry Cleansing Balm Review.

But back to Glossier which has more of a gel-balm texture than a waxy-balm like Elemis. I am really enjoying this formula. The gel-balm melts into an oil really easily and it quickly breaks down makeup. When you add water, it turns into a lovely creamy cleansing milk that feels soft and smooth on my skin.

I use a damp wash cloth to remove everything and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and comfortable. It’s an excellent first cleanse and ideal to use to get off the bulk of makeup and SPF before a gentle foaming cleanser.
This delivers on all its claims, so it’s a thumbs up from me.
