First Impressions

I love the fresh and bright feel of the packaging. The pump format makes it mess and fuss-free to use and you just need to few pumps per use. It looks fab sink-side.

Texture & Application

The texture is really lovely. It’s not a traditional balm cleanser and much lighter and more gel-like with a very hydrating feel. It really reminds me of the Dr Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Meltaway Cleanser, which kind of looks like it is being discontinued, so if you loved that one, you need to check the Sunday Riley Aquamarine Melt out.

It melts into the skin on contact and effortlessly slips and slides over the skin like a very light oil. You can feel it breaking down makeup and it works really well on mascara and other eye makeup. It’s a good first cleanse, and although it feels super light on the skin, it does get off the bulk pretty effortlessly.

It is really gentle and doesn’t sting my eyes at all.

Final Thoughts

This is a lovely cleanser that provides a gorgeous sensorial moment as well as effective makeup and grime removal. It leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated and is really gentle so will be great for all skin types.
