My Review

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I love a good cleanser, so when the Youth To The People Papaya + Vitamin C, Ginger Root + Lactic Acid Superfood Cleanser landed on my desk, I couldn’t wait to give it a proper go.
Texture & Scent
The texture is what really makes this feel special. It’s a gel-to-light-foam cleanser, quite fluid and almost juice-like straight out of the pump, but it lathers ever so slightly when you massage it into damp skin.
The scent is really nice. It has a fresh, citrusy, almost tropical fragrance and you can definitely pick up the papaya and a subtle hit of ginger. It’s not overpowering at all, just super refreshing and very enlivening in feel. Great for morning use I think.
How I Use It
I’ve been using this in the morning mostly, but it works beautifully as a second cleanse in the evening too. I pump 1–2 times into my palm, massage onto damp skin for about 30 seconds, and then rinse off. It leaves my skin feeling clean but not squeaky with no tightness at all.
Results
I think this is great for giving you a lovely instant glow. It’s good smoothing out any texture and it really feels like it is doing something, albeit very gently.
It doesn’t feel at all irritating and I think it’s ideal for anyone wanting to add a mild exfoliation and brightening step to their routine without going full-on acid peel.
If you’re super sensitive, I’d suggest patch testing, but overall the formula feels very balanced and well-thought-out.
Final Thoughts
I absolutely love this. It’s a cleanser that makes you look forward to washing your face and I think Youth To The People have nailed the texture, scent, and performance. Plus, as with all YTTP products, it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainably packaged.
